Volunteer/Intern with Sustainable Seattle

Sustainable Seattle could not exist today without the help of volunteers. Volunteers have always been the heart of this organization and continue to help Sustainable Seattle accomplish its mission. Puget Sound region residents may lend volunteer support in a number of ways.
Please sign up by clicking on "Volunteer Signup" on the left. Indicate which of the opportunities outlined above you are interested in or let us know if you have other talents. The two opportunities listed below are our most urgent support needs:

1. B-Sustainable Action Team Volunteers
An essential part of B-Sustainable is collecting the stories of what organizations, businesses, government and community members are DOING around the sustainability goals - Help us collect the "action steps" that people are doing around the sustainability goals - Help us collect the "actions steps" and "strategies" that people are engaged in towards particular sustainability goals! This involves one-on-one visits to local organizations, providing an overview of B-Sustainable, and helping them enter their information. A great opportunity to network with local organizations and get to know who's doing what in the community! Plus, Action Team volunteers will be trained on how to speak eloquently about sustainability indicators, and how to tie information to action.
2. BloggersWe are always looking for bloggers to scout out stories, report on key issues, and make other updates to our blogs. If you are in the Seattle/Puget Sound region or have contributions to make regarding urban sustainability, we'd love you to join our Synergy team. If you are from elswhere, we have many opportunities to join the team on our Sustainable Cities Activity Network (SCAN) blog.
