Event | Film Screening | April 15th
The Seattle Art Museum will present a special screening in collaboration with the Sundance Institute’s Native American Program. The program begins with Andrew Okpeaha MacLean’s 2008 short film Sikumi (On the Ice), in which an Inuit hunter becomes a witness to a crime. In Miss Navajo (2006), William Luther documents the Miss Navajo Nation competition, which requires contestants to answer historical questions in the Navajo language and showcase traditional knowledge.
A brief question-and-answer session with Miss Navajo director William Luther will follow the screening.
Due to the overwhelming response to this event, we are no longer taking reservations for the 7 pm screening. A second screening at 8:45 pm has been added.
