Event | Jill Richardson | September 4th

Jill Richardson, food industry expert, activist, and author of Recipe for America, will appear at the historic Fx McRory's Whiskey Bar for a speaking, book-signing, and social event.

The no-host event, sponsored by the Northwest Progressive Institute , Sustainable Seattle, and Living Liberally, will be held Friday, September 4th, 8:00 - 10:00 PM at Fx McRory's, 406 Occidental Ave. S. in Pioneer Square. The section reserved is technically dining, not bar, so children are allowed.

Fx McRory's will prepare several vegetarian specials, including veggie spring rolls for $2.95. Drink specials include well drinks for $3.45, pints of local Mac & Jack's African Amber for $3.95, and an organic version of the brand new local cocktail sensation "Finamoré Pineapple Express" for only $3.95.

Author Jill Richardson is an expert on America's "food system", an advocate for sustainable, local farms, and founder of the blog La Vida Locavore.

Recipe for America provides an overview of the problems with our food industry, a vision of a sustainable food system, and delivers specific, viable policy recommendations.
