Call for continued Dialogue and Action on Climate Change!
7th November, 2009, 3pm
Location: Cascade People's Center, 309 Pontius Ave. North Seattle, WA 98109
Organized by SEEDS - Social Ecology Education and Demonstration School

Please join us for an afternoon of networking, brainstorming, and action planning around issues of climate injustice.

This gathering is a follow up meeting to Seattle's mobilization held on 19th September where we dialogued and formed working groups in hopes of moving forward toward real climate justice. We are one month until the longest climate summit ever held takes place on 7th-18th December in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the previews are as expected: trade, tweak, or sell solutions within a centralized process and benefiting few. How do we usher change?

350.org held gatherings in 181 countries on Oct 24rth, marking the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet's history. North America will raise a voice again on 30 November, the 10th anniversary of Seattle's WTO shut down, to call for realistic climate change. This is an opportunity for people to come together across issues and re-vision a sustainable future for the planet. Grassroots mobilization is essential for raising a unified voice when demanding the radical changes necessary to minimize the catastrophic effects of global climate change!

We can not do this without YOU! Please join with activists from around the Salish Sea in building a Climate Justice Movement in the Pacific Northwest by participating in a networking and planning meeting on 7th November, 2009, at 3pm. Location: Cascade People's Center, 309 Pontius Ave. North Seattle, WA 98109
