Taking Action

In this season of giving and thoughtfulness it is the perfect time to get involved with sustainable events in the greater Seattle area. There are many ways to get involved as Seattle is a vibrant and busy city.

Friends of Youth-A volunteering opportunity to bring meals to hungry youth. Ongoing.

Running the Numbers- At the Pacific Science Center until January 3, 2010. See the impact of our misuse of materials and energy in an artistic format.

Friends of Lincoln Park- January 2, 2010. Park restoration project.

Native Plants Work Party-January 2, 2010. Remove invasive plant species.

Bicycle Advisory Board- January 6, 2010. Make your voice known in regards to biking and the city.

Green Building Workshop- January 7, 2010. Cost 100-400 dollars. Networking opportunity for those interested in green building.

Human Rights Commission- January 7, 2010. City Hall meeting about the cities responsibilities pertaining to social justice.
