Sustainable Seattle is proud to support the Seattle Coalition for a Healthy Workforce in their effort to make Paid Sick Days a right of all employees in Seattle.
On Wednesday May 11th the Seattle Coalition for a Healthy Workforce will be hosting a community forum at the University Christian Church at 4731 15th Ave NE, but there are a few opportunities leading up to the forum on May 11th where you can help.
The campaign is trying to get thousands of postcards into the hands of our City Councilmembers urging them to make paid sick days happen this summer. Volunteers are gathering on the streets to get more postcards signed, and the campaign is asking for more volunteers to join them. Starting today, here's where they will be:
Thursday May 5th, 5:00-7:00pm @ Seward Park PCC Market: 5041 Wilson Avenue South, Seattle
Friday, May 6th, 11:00am-1:00pm @ Capitol Hill Trader Joe's: 1700 East Madison Street, Seattle
Monday, May 9th, 3:00-5:00pm @ University District Trader Joe's: 4555 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle
Talking to folks where they live, work, and shop is one of the best tools to get more people involved in this campaign, so you are encouraged to help if you can make it to one (or even part of one) of these shifts.
