Celebrating a Community of Leadership and Innovation


Last night we celebrated our community’s hard work at our Annual Sustainable Community Outstanding Leadership & Innovation Awards Dinner where we awarded individuals and organizations for all of their truly inredible pursuits. The event was held at the beautiful Duwamish Longhouse where Taylor Shellfish provided fresh seafood and other entrees for a tasty meal. We also had amazing salmon provided by Loki Fish Co. accompanied with fresh bread rolls from Macrina Bakery. Along with all the amazing food and drinks, the room was filled with a lot of great people, including a great storytelling by Jeff Leinaweaver.

Sustainable Seattle also had a chance to share what we’ve been up to and where we’re headed in the New Year. We hope you are as excited as us to hear about the national recognition of theHappiness Initiative, the accomplishments of Sustainable Rain, and our upcoming Dream a Sound Future and Neighborhood and Business workshops. We are all so excited to share this work with you, please stay tuned.

All of us here at Sustainable Seattle want to give a big thank you to everyone that came to the event last night. It’s truly an honor to celebrate the vibrant community we have here in Seattle. If you missed it, we hope to see you next year, and if you came, we hope you had a great time!
